Schedule your next field trip to GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee!

Field Trips for ANY AGES Special Education and General Education classes are welcome!

That’s right! Bring your group of students, ANY AGE, to GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee for your next field trip. Our ADA-compliant space is open to the public for groups up to 25-30 people. They will get a tour of the playhouse, a short presentation about #GenerationG, and our vision to support inclusion and spread a global message of acceptance for ALL (15ish minutes). Then, they’ll get access to the playhouse for up to 2 hours. We have a young participants’ play area, a kids’ library, 3 learning labs (quiet rooms), games, puzzles, art supplies, a stage set up for kids to explore, a large kitchen, and a Prometheus Board for interactive technology-based activities. The large kitchen is for our older participants to enjoy and create a yummy snack, meal, or treat with their leaders/chaperones. GiGi’s staff will lead the presentation then group leaders can guide additional programming and activities for the duration of the visit.

Field trips come with access to art supplies, kitchen materials, open play areas, and a group workspace to use while at the Playhouse. There is no per-student fee, however, we do have a suggested donation of $100 per field trip to help cover supplies and use of the playhouse but if your school cannot meet that, contact us and we can work something out. We prefer all field trips be scheduled at least 1 month prior to arrival.

At GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee we are changing the way the world sees Down syndrome. We do this by offering free educational, therapeutic, and social programming for individuals of all ages, and all abilities. GiGi’s mission is to promote acceptance for all and change the way the Milwaukee community views Down syndrome because individuals with Down syndrome are more like their peers than different. GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee does all of this in a warm, supportive, welcoming family environment that is open for all to learn, socialize, and play.

Contact Lauren Clausing, Program and Volunteer Coordinator, via email at programsmilwaukee@gigisplayhouse.org or (414) 797-0522 to get your school on our calendar today! See you at GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee!
