Why I love GiGi’s Milwaukee

Why do we want to change the way the world views Down syndrome?

Because people with Down syndrome and other different abilities are teaching humanity how to live again. Every single person on this planet has a purpose and a voice and deserves to be seen, valued, accepted, and loved. Not only does GiGi’s Playhouse give individuals with Down syndrome a voice but it provides an opportunity for thousands of people to come together to manifest social change. There are hundreds of people across the world who are making a difference in their communities, raising awareness and connecting resources just because they know someone with Down syndrome. Our participants are teaching us how to live, how to work together, and giving us the confidence and inspiration to keep going every day. We help each other reach our best of all as we work together to create a world that works for all. –Cayla Catino, GiGi’s Playhouse, INC. Growth Manager

I love what GiGi’s stands for and I believe in our mission. It’s a lot of work to change the way the world views Down syndrome (and how any disability is viewed). As many of you know our daughter was born with a birth defect. She, as well as the rest of our family and friends, are affected by her life, struggles, needs, and spirit. She and her brother help us see relationships and skills and growth. I am so thankful each day to have those reminders. Life is not easy, but with friends and family and people open to change, it is much BETTER.
Help me to make a difference, become an investor in the future. At GiGi’s EVERYONE is welcome.❤️
