Record-Breaking Go FORE IT Golf Outing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our 5th Annual Go FORE It Golf Outing<\/strong> was nothing short of spectacular, and sold out! Thanks to a record number of sponsors, golfers, and supporters, the energy on the course was electric from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year was our most engaging outing yet, thanks in large part to the creativity and fun our sponsors brought to the holes. From friendly competitions to unique giveaways, every stop on the course brought new laughs and connections. One highlight? Our first-ever Heckle Hole<\/strong>, where comedian Lisa Quam<\/strong> kept golfers on their toes with playful banter. Many golfers had the added heckle from advocate, Sadler Bell! The laughter could be heard across the course!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another favorite stop was the GiGi\u2019s Challenge Hole<\/strong>, where golfers wore a weighted vest to simulate hypotonia (low muscle tone), a common characteristic of the Down syndrome community. It gave participants a small glimpse into the extra physical effort many of our friends put into everyday activities. Every hole also featured a \u201cDid You Know?\u201d sign<\/strong>, sharing facts about Down syndrome and celebrating what makes our community so unique. It wasn\u2019t just a day of fun\u2014it was purposeful, sparking learning and empathy in every foursome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are so grateful to The Oaks Golf Course<\/strong> for hosting us and keeping the day running smoothly, and to our incredible partners at Intentional Purpose Events<\/strong> for all the behind-the-scenes magic that allows our team to execute events of this size and importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A huge thank you to our volunteers<\/strong> and staff<\/strong>, whose energy, organization, and smiles made the day run so smoothly. From setup to check-in, course support to clean-up, you kept things moving and made sure everyone felt welcomed and ready to have fun. We couldn\u2019t have done it without you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, your support helped us raise a record-breaking $43,500<\/strong>, funds that will keep life-changing programs free for the Down syndrome and disability community and bring us closer to our goal for our new forever home. Special thanks to the winner of the 50\/50 and couple hole prize winners for donating their winnings back to our Playhouse! And congratulations to our winning team (who also happened to be one our sponsors, Four Lakes Wealth Advisors) with a score of 51!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
