At GiGi’s Playhouse, we are fortunate to have incredible interns who bring passion, dedication, and fresh perspectives to our programs. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Grace<\/strong>, a college intern from Aurora University<\/strong> who is studying to become a social worker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grace has quickly become an important part of our Playhouse community. She helps lead several of our purposeful programs, including GiGiFIT Adult<\/strong>, LMNOP<\/strong>, and GiGi Prep<\/strong>, where she encourages participants to build confidence, develop new skills, and reach their personal goals. She also lends a helping hand in Hugs & Mugs Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, supporting meaningful employment opportunities while creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through every program she supports, Grace demonstrates kindness, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed. Her experience at GiGi’s Playhouse is not only preparing her for a future career in social work, but it is also making a lasting impact on the participants and families she serves today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

” My favorite part of volunteering at GiGi’s is building connections with the participants and them making me laugh. I also love building skills for my future career in social work and being able to work with individuals in different populations, especially those with Down syndrome.”\u00a0
