That\u2019s why we are proud to offer <strong>LMNOP (Language, Music, N\u2019 Our Peeps)<\/strong> in <strong>Spanish<\/strong>, a program that brings babies and toddlers with Down syndrome and their families together through music, movement, and community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is LMNOP?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed for children from birth to five, LMNOP uses <strong>songs, stories, movement, and sign language<\/strong> to help little ones build the foundation for communication and social skills. Families join in the fun, learning strategies they can use at home to support their child\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/hoffmanestates\/files\/2025\/09\/lmnop-boys-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/hoffmanestates\/files\/2025\/09\/lmnop-boys-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142271\" style=\"width:263px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/hoffmanestates\/files\/2025\/09\/lmnop-boys-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/hoffmanestates\/files\/2025\/09\/lmnop-boys-1-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Language &amp; Communication:<\/strong> practicing words, colors, and signs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Motor Skills:<\/strong> clapping, instrument play, and movement activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Interaction:<\/strong> greetings, turn-taking, and routines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Family Bonding:<\/strong> learning and playing together in a joyful setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Spanish?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Offering LMNOP in Spanish allows families to fully participate in a language that feels natural at home. For some, it means reinforcing their child\u2019s learning in their native language. For others, it\u2019s a chance to experience a new culture and grow together. Most importantly, it shows that every family belongs\u2014no matter what language they speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Families Are Saying<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p> <em>\u201cWe have loved coming to the Spanish class, even though we don\u2019t speak Spanish! \ud83d\ude02 You are extremely prepared, and because of that we have been able to follow along and now know our colors in Spanish\u2014and Blake starts to mouth a few of the words!!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <em>\u201cThe couple times we went both Riley and I loved it. I do think it\u2019s important that the world sees each person with Down syndrome and their families are different. That there is not a one size fits all. I really like that the same songs were used so even though I do not know Spanish, Riley and I could participate. I hope the program continues.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p> <em>\u201cWhen Spanish LMNOP started we were so happy \ud83d\ude0a because we speak more Spanish at home with Yaneli\u2014but to be honest, I don\u2019t know many songs in Spanish. I love that I can learn myself and sing them to her. Thank you for starting LMNOP in Spanish\u2014we hope to be able to go to them all, and even if I can\u2019t, my husband will be going on Saturdays. \u2764\ufe0f\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> <em>\u201cLMNOP Espa\u00f1ol has been fun to attend! Nidia does a great job translating and leading the class! Not only is Anthony learning more Spanish, but I myself learn something new too! I like connecting with other families like ours, but it\u2019s also really cool to see other non-Spanish speaking families attend and participate as well!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ad2f72ca wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Ami y a mi familia nos encanta \u00a0LMNOP En Espa\u00f1ol.  Ya que lo disfrutamos al m\u00e1ximo porque es en nuestro idioma. Nos a ayudado mucho como familia. Para socializar y conocer muchas m\u00e1s familias con las que podemos compartir grandes momentos. A mi hija jazlyn le a servido mucho aprendiendo se\u00f1as siendo m\u00e1s vucal y tambi\u00e9n socializando.
