\nWhile Playhouse Staff attends the GiGi’s Playhouse National Leadership Conference in Chicago, GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough will open for programs and tutoring only.<\/p>\n

\nGiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough will be closed for Thanksgiving and the long holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

Friends, Fun, & Fitness, <\/strong>Saturday, November 6, 10- 11AM (ages 10+)
\nJoin Miss Virginia for Zumba!<\/p>\n

Art Explosion, <\/strong>Saturday, November 6, 11AM- 12PM (ages 10+)
\nCreative, play-based, arts and crafts activities, will be offered with the goal of helping them to learn skills to manage their emotions. The activities offered will be used to engage otherwise reluctant children, adolescents or young adults, and help them express their thoughts and feelings in a pleasurable, relaxed and creative environment. This month Miss Virginia will be leading program participants in the \u201cCookie Breathing Game\u201d and more!<\/p>\n

Karate Kickers<\/strong>, Wednesday, November 10, 6- 7PM (ages 10+)
\nThe benefits of karate for people with Down syndrome are endless.\u00a0 Karate focuses on development of balance, coordination, discipline, focus, attention, physical fitness, and confidence. There will be no physical contact between peers.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Orientation<\/strong>, Wednesday, November 10, 6- 7PM (all ages)
\nAre you interested in volunteering with GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Hillsborough? Come join us for volunteer orientation and learn about the various ways you can donate your time and talents to the playhouse.<\/p>\n

Fantastic Friends<\/strong>, Friday, November 12, 7- 9PM (ages 18+)
\nA fun night out to facilitate social interactions between adults with Down syndrome, their peers and the community.<\/p>\n

Destination Discovery<\/strong>, Saturday, November 13, 10AM- 12PM (all ages)
\nThis is an interactive and engaging program for participants of all ages and their families. It supports the development of motor skills, social skills and language through purposeful play and peer-to-peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. In this all-ages program, participants progress from needing assistance, to working independently, to serving in the role of helper and partner to younger participants! This program also brings families together to share experiences and build relationships.<\/p>\n

Karate Kickers<\/strong>, Wednesday, November 17, 6- 7PM (ages 10+)
\nThe benefits of karate for people with Down syndrome are endless.\u00a0 Karate focuses on development of balance, coordination, discipline, focus, attention, physical fitness, and confidence. There will be no physical contact between peers. Now meeting twice a month!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fantastic Friends Thanksgiving Celebration<\/strong>, Friday, November 19, 7- 8PM (ages 18+)
\nIt is time for the annual Thanksgiving Dinner! As we have done in the past, Liz will cook the turkey and participants can bring everything else. Please sign up online to bring something<\/a> to the dinner.<\/p>\n

Teen Tastic and Fantastic Friends Virtual Dance Party<\/strong>, Friday, November 19, 7- 8PM (ages 13+)
\nDance your way to our monthly virtual Count Graham Dance!<\/p>\n

Yoga<\/strong>, Saturday, November 20, 11AM- 12PM (ages 10+)
\nA gentle yoga class for participants ages 10 and up.<\/p>\n

Cooking Club<\/strong>, Saturday, November 20, 12- 1PM (ages 10+)
\nGet cooking with your friends at GiGi\u2019s!\u00a0 This program is geared toward building safety awareness in the kitchen and preparing healthy recipes that taste great. This month we are making chicken quesadillas!<\/p>\n

Volunteer Orientation<\/strong>, Saturday, November 20, 1:30- 2:30PM (all ages)
\nAre you interested in volunteering with GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Hillsborough? Come join us for volunteer orientation and learn about the various ways you can donate your time and talents to the playhouse.<\/p>\n

As space is limited for health and safety reasons<\/strong><\/span>, each program will have a pre-determined attendance limit. The same policy will also apply to program volunteers; there will be limited capacity for volunteers at each program.
