Our 2018 \u201ci\u00a0have a Voice\u201d Gala is a time for us all to CELEBRATE!\u00a0 With one month until our biggest event of the year, our committee members are working harder than ever to assure this year\u2019s event will be the best yet.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great time for us all to take a moment to remember why we put our heart and soul into\u00a0\u00a0GiGi\u2019s\u00a0Playhouse of Fort Myers.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a glimpse at what we have been doing this year and what we have heard from participants and families at the playhouse.<\/p>\n

We have offered\u00a0GiGi\u2019s\u00a0quality programming for people with Down syndrome of all ages (at NO cost to them thanks to our talented volunteers and generous donors!).\u00a0 Literacy, fitness, language development, movement, and more!\u00a0 We\u00a0EDUCATE:<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u00a0absolutely LOVES going to Gigi\u2019s to play and to learn.\u201d\u00a0-parent<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the year since our Grand Opening, we have seen \u201cBest of All\u201d moments of physical and personal growth from participants and volunteers alike!\u00a0 Having\u00a0GiGi\u2019s\u00a0Playhouse as a physical structure and not just a Facebook group, we are able to welcome new families into a bright, colorful space filled with energy and promise.\u00a0 We\u00a0INSPIRE:\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Seeing Kinley interacting with her peers, striving to do better at whatever task is at hand, and simply cashing in on some hugs, brings an abundance of happiness and joy to her whole family.\u201d\u00a0 -parent<\/p>\n

\u201cFamily support each other and have fun along the way.”\u00a0 -an adult participant<\/p>\n

We are so proud to be part of #GenerationG, making the world a more accepting place for people with Down syndrome through our programs, through our volunteers and through our outreach activities in the community.\u00a0\u00a0 WE BELIEVE:<\/p>\n

At the Gala we will have more great news to\u00a0unveil\u00a0about what we have accomplished and what we hope to accomplish.\u00a0 We hope you\u2019ll join us in our celebration and will support our mission to Educate. Inspire. Believe.<\/p>\n

Our Gala will be an important time for the Playhouse as our biggest fundraiser of the year.\u00a0\u00a0 The funds donated through our Gala sponsors, donations of items silent and live auction items, and\u00a0activities on the night of Gala,\u00a0will determine how many of the items on our growth list we can provide in 2019!\u00a0\u00a0 Our participants continue to grow and dream with us, and we would love to be able to start the Amina Grace speech\/language program, math tutoring, add 2-3 more programs for different age groups…the list goes on!<\/p>\n
