Angela&#8217;s oldest son Emery has Down syndrome and has been a source of inspiration for GiGi&#8217;s Playhouse Ft. Myers. Angela was an elementary school teacher before her children were born and now she is a full time mom and part time ballet teacher. She is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University where she graduated with honors. Angela has become passionate about raising awareness for Down syndrome and is beyond excited to provide programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/fortmyers\/files\/2018\/12\/clare.jpg\" alt=\"clare\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"clare\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Clare Cronin<\/h3>\n<p>Clare, originally from Illinois, has lived in Naples since 2007 with her husband and two children.\u202f Her son has Down syndrome and inspires her to work for individual respect for people with Down syndrome through her work with GiGi\u2019s Playhouse.\u202f She is a Doctor of Audiology, working part time for Johns Hopkins All Children\u2019s Hospital and the Veteran\u2019s Administration.\u202f She says \u201cWhen Benjamin was born, the first thing I knew I\u2019d need was local connections to other families who have children with Down Syndrome.\u202f GiGi\u2019s Playhouse will bring that to new families and continue to support family and individual needs as children grow up.\u202f I\u2019m so excited to help bring this here!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/fortmyers\/files\/2018\/12\/heather.jpg\" alt=\"heather\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"heather\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Heather Snapp<\/h3>\n<p>Heather Snapp, originally from Illinois, her husband Paul and their three children have lived in Fort Myers since 2012. Their daughter, Maya, has Down syndrome.\u202f Heather\u2019s interest in increasing services, awareness and acceptance for people with Down Syndrome led her to GiGi\u2019s Playhouse.\u202f Heather works as a librarian at Florida Gulf Coast University. Previously, she worked as a high school teacher, editor, and event coordinator for a non-profit.\u202f\u202f She is excited about all GiGi\u2019s Playhouse will bring to families in Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/fortmyers\/files\/2018\/12\/lindasay.jpg\" alt=\"lindasay\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"lindasay\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Dr. Lindsay Schwandner<br \/>\nSecretary<\/h3>\n<p>Lindsay was born and raised in Wisconsin and now resides in Cape Coral, Florida with her husband and 4 daughters.\u202f She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed her pediatrics residency at the University of South Florida.\u202f She is a pediatrician with Lee Physician Group Pediatrics and cares for children with Down Syndrome and other special needs.\u202f She is excited to bring GiGi\u2019s Playhouse to the children and families of Southwest Florida and provide programs and support to help them reach their greatest potential.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/fortmyers\/files\/2018\/12\/Samantha.jpg\" alt=\"Samantha\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"Samantha\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Samantha Nunez<br \/>\nPresident<\/h3>\n<p>Originally from Indiana, Samantha now lives in Fort Myers, FL with her husband, Sergio, and their two children.\u202f Her oldest child, Sofia, has Down Syndrome which was discovered after she was born.\u202f Since then, Samantha and Sergio have fought for more awareness and\u202fservices\u202ffor the Down syndrome community.\u202fSamantha graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Marketing &amp; Entrepreneurship.\u202f She moved to Florida soon after graduation and met her husband.\u202f They own Storia Marble &amp; Granite where Samantha mainly focuses on day to day operations, cabinet, and countertop design.\u202f Samantha has been with GiGi&#8217;s Playhouse of Fort Myers since the beginning, and is excited and honored to be a part of the organization.\u202f She strongly believes that GiGi&#8217;s Playhouse is changing the world one diagnosis at time and that what makes us different makes us beautiful.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/fortmyers\/files\/2018\/12\/Sarah.jpg\" alt=\"Sarah\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"Sarah\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Sarah DiGiorgi<\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Sarah DiGiorgi is an area OB\/GYN practicing as part of Physician&#8217;s Primary Care.\u202f She also serves as Medical Director for OB services at Lee Memorial Health System.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. DiGiorgi has lived with her husband and 3 children and practiced in Southwest Florida since 2007. \u202fWhen asked about how she came to be involved with GiGi\u2019s Playhouse, she replied \u201cmy patients have taught me that there are areas that we can improve in our own community. \u202fI became involved with GiGi&#8217;s Playhouse to help bring these needed resources to our area. \u202fI feel blessed to be a part of this organization and meet so many people willing to work hard to make a difference\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Founding Families Angela Rosenberg Literacy Coordinator Past (Founding) President\u00a0 Angela Rosenberg was born and raised in Lee County, Florida where she continues to live with her husband, Evan, and their two sons.
