GiGi's Playhouse Fort Myers • 1901 Brantley Rd, Unit 11, Fort Myers, FL 33907
Fantastic Friends (ages 18+)
August 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Fantastic Friends is a fun night out to facilitate social interaction between adults with Down syndrome and their peers and the community. This program supports the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a fun casual setting.
Hi, All My Fantastic Friends,
Have you made any more coffee mug chocolate chip cookies?? They sure were good.
Our next meeting will be August 14 and Maribeth will be teaching us to draw something else. I’m always looking forward to these times…..since I am not great at drawing, I love following Maribeth’s directions. Find Fantastic Friends on our calendar to register and get the link.
I have attached a picture of butterflies which you all decided you would like to color and share on the 14th.
See you all on the 14th.
Please have your coloring sheets ready to share with everyone online. We also want you to share with us what you have been doing at home to help your family. If you have a GiGi’s T-shirt, please wear it.
We will be using GoToMeeting for this program. If you are not familiar, it is an online meeting platform that allows multiple people to see and chat with each other online using your computer.
How to attend:
1. Go to our GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Myers online calendar and RSVP for the program.
2. Once you RSVP, you will receive an email (at the email address that you use to RSVP) with the link to the online meeting.
3. On Friday evening, click the link in the email to join the meeting. If you do not already have GoToMeeting on your computer, you will be prompted to download the GoTo Opener when you try to join for the first time. Click to download and then join the meeting. You will only have to do this once.
Special note: You MUST RSVP to the program through the online calendar in order to attend the online program. This is a protective measure to help ensure that only our GiGi’s families are receiving the links to the programs and to prevent hackers from attending the meetings and sharing inappropriate content like has happened in Zoom (an online meeting platform that we do not use).
