At GiGi\u2019s Playhouse, volunteers are the heart of everything we do. This month, we are thrilled to highlight Hannah Gillon<\/strong>, whose dedication, energy, and passion for inclusion is making a difference at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Hannah Gillon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hannah has been volunteering with GiGiFIT Teen & Adult<\/strong> for just over a year. As someone new to the area, she wanted to meet people and get involved in her community. Introduced to GiGi\u2019s by Annalise, Hannah instantly fell in love with our programs, the warm smiles, and our mission of inclusion and acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeing new to the community and having changed schools often as a child, I know how hard it can be to feel included,\u201d Hannah shares. \u201cI wanted to ensure everyone felt included and loved!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hannah’s Favorite Part about Volunteering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hannah\u2019s favorite part of volunteering is the connections she builds with participants. She loves hearing about their day, school, work, or upcoming events. The high fives, smiles, and hugs<\/strong> at the end of class are a reminder of the positive impact she makes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy goal is always to make a positive impact on their day,\u201d Hannah says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Hannah Contributes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At GiGiFIT Teen & Adult, Hannah helps lead group workouts<\/strong>, demonstrating that exercise can be fun while accommodating varying skill levels. Classes often end with a team obstacle course<\/strong>, emphasizing movement, balance, and teamwork\u2014a favorite moment for both participants and volunteers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her hands-on volunteer work, Hannah recently joined the GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Board<\/strong>, further supporting the mission of inclusion and acceptance for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact of Volunteering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of Hannah\u2019s most memorable moments involved a participant who was shy and nervous during class. By providing encouragement and giving her space, Hannah helped her feel comfortable. After class, the participant gave Hannah a big hug\u2014a simple yet powerful confirmation of the impact volunteers can have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt made me so proud to know I had made her feel safe, comfortable, and supported,\u201d Hannah recalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Hannah, volunteering at GiGi\u2019s Playhouse is more than a community activity\u2014it\u2019s a personal highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cComing to GiGi\u2019s is the best part of my day! Even if I\u2019ve had a hard day, all of that is forgotten when I see their smiling, excited faces,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being named Volunteer of the Month<\/strong> is a great honor, but Hannah emphasizes that the joy, connections, and lessons she has gained are priceless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
