Volunteer Best of All: Rosemary Unglaub
Our volunteer spotlight this month shines brightly on Rosemary Unglaub, a dedicated and compassionate member of our GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo community! Since joining us in 2022, Rosemary has made a tremendous impact by volunteering in various programs, including GiGiFIT Kids, GiGiFIT Teen and Adult, Leaps and Bounds, GiGi’s Kitchen Kids, and at special events like the GiGi’s Gala and Walk.
Rosemary’s positivity, reliability, and leadership shine in every program she supports. Her ability to keep participants engaged and on task is remarkable—like when she kept a participant on task and involved for the entire Leaps and Bounds session this month. Her compassion and enthusiasm make her a true role model for our community. Congratulations, Rosemary, on being named Volunteer of the Month!
Meet Rosemary
🌟 What inspired you to start volunteering at GiGi’s?
“My name is Rosemary Unglaub, and this is my 3rd year volunteering at GiGi’s! My first volunteer experience was at the GiGi’s Walk back in 2022. That experience showed me how much fun it was to be part of the GiGi’s community. It brought me so much joy to be around the endless positivity of the participants.”
💜 What’s your favorite part of volunteering at GiGi’s?
“My favorite part of GiGi’s Playhouse is the awesome participants and families that join us every month. These fantastic individuals always put a smile on my face and give the best hugs.”
Rosemary’s Impact
🎉 How do you contribute to GiGi’s Playhouse?
“I started with the GiGiFIT program and now help with Leaps & Bounds and GiGi’s Kitchen Kids. I also volunteer every year at the Walk and Gala. I love teaching younger kids different skills and watching them quickly pick up on tasks. At the Gala, it’s amazing to meet so many people who share a passion for everything GiGi’s does.”
🌟 What’s a favorite memory from volunteering?
“Some of my favorite memories include watching participants achieve their milestone moments. It’s so rewarding to see them make big steps toward their goals—these moments highlight their incredible progress.”
The Impact of Volunteering
Volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse has left a lasting impression on Rosemary. She shared,
“GiGi’s Playhouse has taught me to always find the good in every situation and that you can do anything you set your mind to. No one embodies this better than our participants, and I continue to learn something new from them every time I volunteer.”
