GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo Receives Generous Grant to Expand Summer Programs 

We are thrilled to share some exciting news! GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Alex Stern Family Foundation to support our efforts in delivering impactful programming to families. 

This generous grant will help us enhance our summer programs, which are designed to encourage learning, build lifelong skills, and strengthen family bonds. Thanks to this funding, we will introduce new educational opportunities, expand existing ones, and provide the necessary resources to make a difference in the lives of families in our community. 

Expanding Our Summer Reading Program: Backpack Buddies 

One of the key initiatives this grant supports is the expansion of our Backpack Buddies summer reading program. Last year, we impacted 36 families. Through this program, we encouraged families to read together and participate in fun, interactive activities related to different books. 

In 2025, we aim to reach even more families, with a goal of impacting 45-50 families. The grant will allow us to purchase new books and supplies, ensuring that every participant has the tools they need to foster a love of reading and learning. 

Introducing Math Buddies 

We are also excited to launch a brand-new program, Math Buddies! Modeled after Backpack Buddies, this initiative will feature weekly activities paired with age-appropriate math books to enhance math skills in a fun and engaging way. By introducing Math Buddies, we hope to provide families with even more opportunities to support their children’s education and growth.
