Celebrating Tara’s Best of All

Celebrating Volunteers Who Make a Difference
At GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo, we are so fortunate to be surrounded by passionate, dedicated volunteers who pour their hearts into our mission. This month, we’re excited to spotlight someone who brings joy, energy, and a whole lot of heart to every visit — Tara!
🌼 Meet Tara!
Tara has been part of our GiGi’s family since 2022, and her journey to volunteering started through a special connection. Her family is friends with Nikki, Bobby, Max, and Kate — a GiGi’s Playhouse family she’s known for years. Tara first met Max, who participates at GiGi’s, when he was about five years old through work connections with his parents. Over time, she got to know Max and Kate even more, and with a little encouragement from Nikki, Tara decided to get involved — and she hasn’t looked back.
“I have enjoyed every moment,” Tara says — and that joy truly shines in everything she does.
💜 What Makes GiGi’s Special for Tara
Tara volunteers regularly with our Fantastic Friends program and looks forward to spending time with the group every other Thursday. “It always brightens my day to get to spend time with them,” she shares, reflecting on how meaningful those connections have become.
She’s been part of Fantastic Friends since the very beginning and has helped with everything from prepping and setting up, to food, games, and activities. “Whatever else I can help with that night,” she adds, always ready to lend a hand. It’s been amazing to see the group grow — it has doubled in size!
🌟 Favorite Moments and Big Impacts
Tara loves dancing, singing, and simply having fun with her Fantastic Friends. “Never a dull moment with us,” she says with a smile. Those joyful, high-energy moments are some of the most memorable parts of her time at GiGi’s.
But the impact goes even deeper. “I truly enjoy volunteering for GiGi’s Playhouse,” Tara shares. “I have met some really great people from the participants, their family members, their coaches, and GiGi’s staff and other volunteers.” Over time, those relationships have become something special — “They are my GiGi’s family.”
Tara, thank you for being a bright light at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo. Your kindness, joy, and dedication truly embody the spirit of Best of All. We’re so grateful for you! 💜
