Each month, GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo gets to highlight one of our amazing volunteers as our Best of All! While we love and cherish each and every one of our wonderful volunteers, our Best of All has shown us that they are here to go above and beyond. From helping participants get groovy at parties to sharing a homemade meal, our Best of All volunteer shines!
We’re excited to announce January’s Best of All volunteer: Sadie Miller! Congratulations, Sadie, and thank you for everything you do!
What inspired you to start volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo?
I volunteered a few years ago and then just started back in October. Volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse was such a fun experience in the past, so I was excited to have extra time to do it again.
What’s your favorite part about volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse?
Everyone is so happy and excited. It’s so fun to watch the kids, teens, and adults overcome challenges and have fun while doing it.
What roles, tasks, or programs do you help with at GiGi’s Playhouse?
GiGiFIT Kids- I love working out myself, so it is fun to teach gets how to get excited about it too. Fantastic Friends- I love getting to see the teens and adults help out with the meal. I also love how competitive they can get with games.
Do you have a favorite or memorable moment from volunteering at GiGi’s?
I had so much fun at the New Year’s party getting to see the kids sing karaoke.
How has volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse impacted you personally?
It has made me appreciate things more and just has made me a better person overall. Every time I leave GiGi’s, I am in a great mood and have a fun story to share with my mom.
