🎶 November Volunteer Best of All: Celebrating Bridgette Bitzegaio of Adapt Music!

At GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. With 99% of our programs volunteer-led, every hour of support fuels life-changing, free programming for individuals with Down syndrome.
This month, we’re thrilled to honor someone whose impact can be heard and felt the moment she enters the Playhouse. Our November Best of All is Bridgette Bitzegaio!
Bridgette, is the founder of Adapt Music, and has been bringing adaptive, inclusive music experiences to GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo since 2018. Her commitment to ensuring people of all abilities have access to the transformative power of music has made her one of our most cherished long-term volunteers.

Bridgette founded Adapt Music with one goal: making music accessible to everyone. That mission naturally led her to GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo.
“I started Adapt Music so that people of ALL abilities can experience the power of music.”
Since 2018, Bridgette has shared her passion across multiple programs — first with Fantastic Friends, and now through Music Makers, a Saturday-morning session she helped launch. Her programs are filled with movement, instruments, rhythm, creativity, and endless smiles from participants.
The Magic of Volunteering: Bridgette’s Favorite Moments
When asked what she loves most about volunteering, Bridgette didn’t hesitate:
“Getting to know all of the participants and seeing their smiles as we make music together!”
She has built lasting relationships with participants and families, many of whom she has known for over six years. Watching familiar faces grow from children to confident young adults has been one of the most meaningful parts of her volunteer journey.
“It is the relationships and connections that are the most memorable to me.”
Her heart, patience, and joy bring something incredibly special to our Playhouse.
Why Adaptive Music Matters
Music is a powerful tool for individuals with Down syndrome — supporting communication, motor skills, sensory exploration, self-expression, emotional regulation, and connection.
Thanks to Bridgette, participants engage in meaningful, inclusive music-making that encourages growth and confidence. Her programs bring:
- Opportunities for creative expression
- Social connection and teamwork
- Increased confidence and independence
- Sensory-friendly musical exploration
- Pure joy
As she beautifully puts it:
“I never leave GiGi’s without a smile on my face and musical memories in my heart.”
And we can confidently say the feeling is mutual.
Bringing Out the Best of All.. Through the Gift of Volunteers

Volunteers like Bridgette aren’t just helpers — they’re mentors, leaders, creators, and cheerleaders. They share their passions in ways that unlock possibility for our participants.
And here’s the truth:
You don’t need to be a musician to make a real impact.
At GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo, we are always looking for individuals who want to share their strengths, hobbies, or professional skills — whether that’s fitness, cooking, art, technology, reading, STEM, dance, leadership, or simply building relationships.
When you bring a passion to the Playhouse, you’re not just teaching a skill.
You’re supporting families, building confidence, and creating connection for individuals with Down syndrome.
Bridgette’s journey began with one passion — and her impact has been extraordinary.
