A Best of All moment is a unique recognition of continual, measurable, and celebrated growth in the GiGi\u2019s community. It is a challenge to do better everyday and to celebrate each victory! Sydney Jones recently received this award. Read below to find out more about Sydney and her great accomplishments! <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sydney participates in multiple programs here at the Playhouse some of which include\u00a0<\/span>Drama Troupe, Art Explosion and\u00a0GiGiFIT\u00a0Adult. She\u00a0loves being at the Playhouse and anyone who meets her immediately notices her smile that lights up a room and her passionate attitude.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sydney is incredibly talented and proficient in sign language. Her love for ASL is evident as seen in a video she uploaded recently of her signing to the song This is Me from the Greatest Showman. Click here<\/a> to watch.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Sydney was asked about her experience with ASL and why she decided to learn how to sign, she said, \u201c<\/span>I have always been interested in ASL. I had a deaf friend and I took a class at Providence hospital so I could speak with him. It became something I really enjoyed.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her goal is to go to college and earn her certificate in sign language so she can teach small kids.\u00a0However, she isn\u2019t waiting\u00a0for this certificate to start! We are excited to announce that Sydney will be an assistant leader for LMNOP starting in August. The LMNOP program teaches basic sign language to kids ages 0-3 and works on communication skills. Sydney will get to\u00a0begin working with kids and continue her growth in ASL. We are\u00a0thrilled\u00a0to help her pursue her dream and to\u00a0keep celebrating growth!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
