On June 5<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>, <\/span>2021<\/span> participants across Metro Detroit moved for acceptance in support of<\/span> individuals with Down syndrome. <\/span>The <\/span>GiGiFIT<\/span> Acceptance Challenge<\/span> was designed to <\/span>advocate for belonging <\/span>and acceptance for all. <\/span>It was a <\/span>really special<\/span> day.\"\"<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Either from one\u2019s backyard, the local park, or the Seaholm High School Track; family, friends, and teachers gathered to walk, run, jump, and squat for an amazing cause. The day was filled with lots of fellowship and fun for all involved. With over 20 teams and over 100 individuals, the event was a huge success.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The day consisted of two GiGiFIT program demonstrations led by Rachel who challenged all the participants to enjoy the beautiful sunny day and to move with purpose. In between programs, participants were able to walk the track, pet the Go Team Therapy Dogs, or savor a delicious GoGo Squeeze applesauce.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Back at <\/span>GiGi\u2019s<\/span> Playhouse Detroit, <\/span>the <\/span>GiGiFIT<\/span> Toddler<\/span>s<\/span> got in on the action and <\/span>moved<\/span> for <\/span>acceptance too!\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the help and support of loved <\/span><\/span>ones, donors and sponsors<\/span>, <\/span>GiGi\u2019s<\/span> Playhouse Detroit surpassed our goal of $25,000<\/span>!
