The nurses\u00a0commented how special those numbers were. Everyone was unaware of another number that was going to become special. When I looked in her eyes I knew she had Down syndrome (Trisomy-21). Not only did she have Down syndrome she had a heart defect that required open heart surgery at 6 months old. \u00a0Kelsey has shown us what real happiness and joy is. She has accomplished so much in 3 years and I truly believe the sky is the limit for her. I hope she will follow her dreams and not be limited as to what others perceive as her disability.
