Dallas, It’s Time
GiGi’s Playhouse provides free, life-changing programs that help individuals with Down syndrome — and their families — build skills, confidence, and independence from prenatal diagnosis through adulthood.
In 2025, we're on track to provide over 350,000 hours of free educational, therapeutic, and career training programs across our 60+ locations in the U.S. and Mexico.
But Right Now, There’s No GiGi’s Playhouse in Dallas
Thousands of families in the Dallas area are raising loved ones with Down syndrome, but they lack access to dedicated, purposeful, and progressive programs that are always free.
That’s the gap GiGi’s Playhouse fills in over 60 communities nationwide. And it’s time for Dallas to be next.
The Burgers Are Helping Lead the Way
Jake Burger — the Texas Rangers first baseman and the only active MLB player with a child who has Down syndrome — and his wife, Ashlyn, have been visiting GiGi’s Playhouses across the country, meeting families, and sharing their stories.
Now, with support from Major League Baseball and the Texas Rangers, they’re helping lead efforts to launch a Playhouse in North Texas.

Why Dallas?
Dallas is home to one of the largest metro populations in the US, yet it has no GiGi’s Playhouse.
That means no local access to our signature programs for literacy, math, life skills, career development, or fitness, all proven to drive achievement and acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome.
You Can Help Launch GiGi’s Playhouse Dallas
With your support, we can bring this movement to North Texas. Together, we can build a place where children grow with confidence, adults gain independence, and families never feel alone.
