Every Thursday Cam energetically enters the Playhouse. Always eager to help clean, greet new community members, and create relationships with everyone in the Playhouse. What we love about Cam is his keen memory and how he truly cares to get to know his friends. If you share facts about yourself, whether that be information about your hometown, family members, favorite sports teams, or events in your life \u2013 Cam remembers and inquires about them. He wants to know how your family is. He initiates conversations on the winning (or losing) statistics of your preferred team. He wants to learn more and know more about each person he engages with. As Cam has consistently been volunteering at the Playhouse for two years, he continues to elevate his game. He shows interest in setting up programs, volunteering with the teens, and even offering to give Playhouse tours to new residents from University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic. We are in awe of Cam\u2019s growth, and as Cam would love to get to know you \u2013 we invite you to get to know Cam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us about yourself!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I like to watch sports! My favorite teams are the Cavs, Browns, Guardians, and Blue Jackets. I play basketball with Empower Sports and hockey with Cleveland Rockin’ Wildcats. My favorite TV show is The Weather Channel. I also like playing games like hockey on my iPad and other video games like NBA2K24. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and I also like playing catch with my brother. My favorite foods are pizza, chicken, pasta, and popcorn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’ve lived in Lakewood for most of your life – what do you love about this town?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s a nice and walkable place. You can ride your bike everywhere, too. We have a lot of great restaurants. My favorites are Cozumel, Merry Arts, and Mars Bar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us about your career path!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I want to work for the Guardians either as a ticket taker, an usher, or in the team shop. I recently had an internship with the Cleveland Clinic where I learned many job skills to get me ready for my future career!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long have you been volunteering at GiGi’s?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since February 2022. Two years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What programs do you help with and attend?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I help with cleaning the Playhouse by swiffering the floors and getting the games ready for the program each week. I attend Games with Friends Adult and volunteer with Games with Friends Teen! I hope to one day attend Fantastic Friends when I don’t have a hockey game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do you like volunteering at GiGi’s?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Volunteering helps me get involved in the community, and everyone at GiGi’s is nice and friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite part about GiGi’s Playhouse?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My friends like David, Tasia, Mary, Lizz, and Phil. I also like to play games at Games with Friends and hangout with everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do you look forward to coming to GiGi’s Playhouse?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I enjoy cleaning and helping other people!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could tell a new volunteer one thing, what would it be?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
