This past year, GiGi\u2019s Playhouse in Chicago underwent an expansion to help meet the needs of our growing community.\u00a0 Our previous space was small and did not have the proper furnishings needed to implement our free educational and therapeutic programming to individuals with Down syndrome.\u00a0 When it came time to furnish the newly expanded space, we were short funds.\u00a0 We did not want to delay the re-start of our programs so decided to use our previous plastic, child-sized tables and chairs.\u00a0 It was not the best option, especially for our older students and tutors.<\/p>\n

Until we met Kevin\u2026..<\/h3>\n

One of our board members put us in touch with Kevin and Michelle at\u00a0Sheridan Contract<\/a>. \u00a0Sheridan Contract is a manufacturer’s representative for commercial, educational, & healthcare furnishings located in the Merchandise Mart.\u00a0 Kevin responded immediately and after a visit to our playhouse they provided us with more than we could ever expect! \u00a0Kevin\u00a0reached out to a few of his manufacturers to help us out.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Kevin donated four new tables for our learning labs,\u00a0perfect to tutor students of all ages.\u00a0\u00a0Our family welcome area has an amazing Groupe Lacasse<\/a> sectional, and the wall-mounted ledges that are perfect for our education station and parent resource center. \u00a0Via Seating<\/a>\u00a0provided\u00a0us with\u00a050\u00a0stackable chairs that are able to accommodate individuals of all ages.\u00a0Finally Falcon<\/u><\/a> gave us a very generous discount on the custom made upholstered benches that are located in our crawlers area. \u00a0\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And there\u2019s more\u2026\u2026.<\/h3>\n

Just this week, Kevin and Steve Cohen (the Corporate Vice President of Falcon<\/a>) delivered and installed a banquette that they generously donated to our playhouse. \u00a0All said and done, because\u00a0of these amazing individuals and businesses we received over $60,000 in furnishings! \u00a0 \u00a0\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We will forever be grateful to Kevin and Michelle Sheridan for helping us furnish our playhouse. \u00a0Because of them we now have a functional and beautiful space!<\/p>\n
