A Charleston resident since just before Hurricane Hugo, Christine has strong roots in the Lowcountry and a lifelong commitment to serving others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout her career, Christine has dedicated herself to connecting people with the resources, opportunities, and support systems they need to succeed. From fundraising at MUSC Children’s Hospital to leading impactful community initiatives across the Charleston area, she has consistently championed causes that make a lasting difference. One of her proud accomplishments includes helping elementary students advocate for what became the pedestrian and bicycle pathway on the Ravenel Bridge, demonstrating her belief that every voice has value and deserves to be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christine’s ability to bring people together, inspire action, and create meaningful change has touched countless lives throughout our community, and we are excited to see that same passion at work within the walls of GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Legacy of Leadership and Service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Christine’s impressive nonprofit journey includes leadership roles focused on growing programs, engaging volunteers, securing funding, and building strong community partnerships. During her decade as Community Engagement Director at Reading Partners South Carolina, she helped connect volunteers and resources to support literacy development for students across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along the way, Christine has built an extraordinary network of colleagues, donors, volunteers, and community champions. She credits these relationships as some of the greatest gifts of her career, recognizing that meaningful impact happens when people come together with a shared purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These experiences have prepared Christine perfectly for her new role at GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston. Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and a genuine belief in the potential of every individual. She understands the power of community and the importance of creating spaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As our Playhouse continues to grow, Christine’s expertise and vision will help us expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and ensure that even more families have access to the life-changing support, acceptance, and opportunities that GiGi’s Playhouse provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking Ahead Together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
What drew Christine to GiGi’s Playhouse is the same thing that inspires so many of our volunteers, families, and supporters each day: the incredible individuals we serve and the culture of acceptance, achievement, and belonging that makes our Playhouse so special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is excited to join a community where individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental differences, along with their families, are celebrated for who they are and empowered to achieve their greatest potential. Christine recognizes the unique impact GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston has on the lives of participants and their families, and she is eager to help continue that mission for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nWhen she’s not serving the community, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their three grown children- Zachary, an attorney in San Diego and soon-to-be dad; Rachael, a finance professional on Seabrook Island and proud mom living in Hanahan; and Lindsey, an entrepreneur making her mark in Breckenridge, Colorado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we welcome Christine into the GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston family, we invite our participants, volunteers, donors, and community partners to join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter. We are grateful for the experience, passion, and heart she brings to our mission, and we look forward to all that we will accomplish together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
