GiGi\u2019s Playhouse is a volunteer-run organization and we rely on the skill and dedication of volunteers of various levels of expertise to keep our organization and our programs vibrant, educational, fun and free.\u00a0Since the first Playhouse opened in 2003, GiGi\u2019s Playhouse programs have always been free for our families. \u00a0Parents, family members, clinicians, and individuals who believe in the GiGi\u2019s Playhouse mission act as volunteers in GiGi\u2019s Playhouse programs, events, administrative offices, and on our Local Operating Team. Commitment:<\/strong>\u00a0Varies.<\/p>\n Program Leader:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The Program Leader and Assistant play an integral role within GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Programs \u2013 to facilitate skill development activities and connect with families.\u00a0 It is preferred that the Program Leader has advanced education and\/or training in developmental therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral therapy, social work, special education, speech-language therapy, music, dance, art or a related field.<\/p>\n Program Assistant<\/strong>:\u00a0 The Program Assistant will support the Program\u00a0Leader in welcoming participants, facilitate check in and help with activities and clean up as needed.<\/p>\n Host Family:\u00a0<\/strong>The Host Family attends the assigned program each session, to ensure that no family must attend on their own and works in conjunction with program leader.<\/p>\n Program Volunteers:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>This person will help the program lead and the number of volunteers depends on the size and type of program.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Commitment:<\/strong>\u00a0Varied, 1x a week during event planning a few months before event<\/p>\n Committee member:<\/strong><\/p>\n Chairperson:<\/strong>\u00a0Oversee the committee and event, some experience with event\/people management preferred.<\/p>\n Fundraisers\/Sponsorships:<\/strong>\u00a0Help secure donations for the events by reaching out to organizations in the community, asking for sponsorship and donations<\/p>\n Decorations:<\/strong>\u00a0 Research and secure rentals needed for the event<\/p>\n Food and Beverage:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Research and secure food and beverage donations<\/p>\n Day of Volunteers:<\/strong>\u00a0 Helping with registration and other activities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Commitment:<\/strong>\u00a0Varied-These can either be 1x week, 1x month or on an as needed basis.<\/p>\n Marketing\/PR:<\/strong>\u00a0contact media for events, write press releases, create flyers, help manage social media and other communications.<\/p>\n\u00a0Events<\/h3>\n
