Our Story: We are beyond excited to bring GiGi’s Playhouse to Central Illinois! Central Illinois may be too small to support a full brick and mortar location, but that doesn’t mean that the families cannot benefit from the incredible therapeutic and educational programs that GiGi’s Playhouse offers. The local community will provide ongoing monthly programming to the community through a “Pop-Up Playhouse,” serving individuals with Down syndrome of all ages and their families.
GiGi’s Playhouse provides support and services from pre-natal through adulthood. GiGi’s uses research-based curriculum that focuses on improving each individual’s literacy, math, motor skills, self-esteem, and speech & language skills through music and movement, therapeutic play, cooking classes, social activities, tutoring and more! In an effort to extend our services to families in less densely populated communities, Central Illinois is our very first mobile pop-up Playhouse! We believe that every person with Down syndrome can make a big difference in the lives of their families, friends, and community!

Volunteers: GiGi's simply wouldn't be able to run without volunteers! Running a successful Mobile Pop-Up Playhouse requires the time and dedication of many including family members, friends, therapists, teachers and community members. We need volunteers to providing one-on-one tutoring, lead and support programs, and a number of other jobs. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to get to know you!
