After two years of planning, persistence, and partnership, GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Canton officially has signage at the end of our road – and it\u2019s so much more than just a sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since opening our doors in April 2019, our Playhouse has operated without visible signage from the main road. Families often struggled to find us, volunteers missed our turn, and even delivery drivers looped the block. While our impact inside the Playhouse was growing, we remained hidden in plain sight, but that all changed this July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This milestone began with a simple question asked several years ago during a conversation with our neighbors at The Great Escape. At the time, the idea of having our name added to their existing sign felt like a long shot. Still, we asked. What followed was months (then years) of hopeful follow-up, relationship building, and patient waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then earlier this year, the unexpected happened: a phone call came from their corporate office in Chicago. Several conversations later, the dream of a sign suddenly became reality. In recent months, we\u2019ve watched The Great Escape go through a rebranding of their own. From a resurfaced parking lot to a painted building, it\u2019s been exciting to see the transformation unfold next door. Each new change brought a little more anticipation as we peeked to the end of the road, waiting for the sign to change. “Could we be next?<\/em>” And finally, we were.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A Shared Celebration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the installation was complete, a simple walk next door to say thank you turned into something more memorable: the entire team at The Great Escape was just as excited as we were to see our name up on the sign. That moment of shared celebration made this milestone feel even more special. It wasn\u2019t just our win, it was ours<\/em>, together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their genuine enthusiasm reflects the strength of the community partnerships we strive to build – relationships rooted in kindness, collaboration, and a shared belief in creating something meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, The Great Escape and their sign company offered to cover part of the cost, with GiGi\u2019s Playhouse covering the rest – a generous gesture we were truly grateful for. After learning more about our mission and seeing the impact of our work, their corporate leadership in Chicago reached back out with something extraordinary: they offered to fully fund the entire project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No strings. No conditions. Just an incredibly generous gift rooted in community and belief in our mission of acceptance for all.<\/p>\n\n\n
