Best Of All: Meet Miryana

Miryana Aimee Sanchez participated in and graduated from the GiGi University programs in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Throughout her time at GiGi University, Miryana benefited greatly from the social skills group and the Money Math 1:1 tutoring sessions. She also honed her food preparation skills during the GiGi Kitchen program and developed customer service expertise through her experiences at GiGi’s Butterfly Cafe.

One of the most impactful parts of her journey was participating in mock job interviews conducted by local business owners. These experiences significantly boosted her confidence, resulting in two part-time job offers post-graduation—from Leadability and Chick-fil-A.

Outside of her educational achievements, Miryana is an active member of the community. She enjoys swimming with the Maryland Special Olympics, cheering for the Bel Air Terps, dancing with the SuperNova Special Needs Dance Troupe, bowling, and participating in Down to Box, a fitness boxing program. Additionally, Miryana currently works for the Down Syndrome Association of Maryland, where she assists the director with clerical duties.

We are thrilled to highlight Miryana as our “Best of All” for her outstanding achievements, dedication, and positive impact on our community. Her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment have prepared her well for a bright future, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments.
