the amina grace speech and language program
The Amina Grace Speech and Language Program came to be by the generous donation of Munuawar Ali and Maura Cullen in honor of their daughter Amina and was created and fully implemented by GiGi’s Playhouse Inc.’s full-time speech-language pathologist, Sarah Buti, M.S., CCC-SLP.
The Amina Grace Speech and Language Program provides youth, teens and adults with greatly expanded opportunities to evolve and refine their speech and language skills. Effective enunciation, clarity of speech, word order and message meaning are paramount to fostering greater self-confidence, comprehension, problem-solving, school readiness, social skills, independence, and overall quality of life.
Since the program’s adaptation at the Tinley Park Playhouse in the winter of 2017, the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program has serviced over 20 different families here in Tinley Park. The program is led by Diana Harmon, M.A. CCC-SLP/L. The Amina Grace Speech and Language Program is open to participants of ALL AGES and runs various sessions throughout the year. Session times are 60 minutes, once per week.
New participants are evaluated utilizing formal and informal measures and receive treatment catered to their specific needs. Even better, this program, like all others at GiGi’s Playhouse, is provided completely free of charge to all of our families involved!
Goals of Program:
