1. Which team are you representing and what is your relationship to the team?
I represent Team Nadia – the most beautiful, independent thinking and articulate daughter I have☺

2. Is this or your team’s first time in the GiGi’s Playhouse 5K? What made you want to join?

We have been involved for couple of years now and we’d like to continue supporting Gigi’s Playhouse for ever and always.

3. Why is the GiGi’s Playhouse 5K important to you and your loved one,or what does it represent for you?

As I said many times in a past – Gigi’s Playhouse is a life boat – it is there when you need to be rescued ☺ it is also there to support us when we need it, let us play and have fun with other friends and families like us. A Place wheRE all of us feel included, accepted and loved.

4. Why do you think that GiGi’s Playhouse is important to the Syracuse community?

Syracuse and Onondaga County have pretty large community of families with loved ones who have been born with Down syndrome. There is still a lot of misconceptions in  the community at large about the diagnosis itself. There is still a large need for education, support for families who just became a part of our community, support for teachers and professionals who work in the field, support and friendly place to meet for our growing kids or our grown siblings or relatives.

5. What’s your teams fundraising goal and how are you achieving it?

We set it pretty low this year at $500 and we are just gently spreading the news through the community we live in.

6. Is your team planning anything unique to show your team spirit?

We are hoping to come and be there with smiles and sunshine.

TeamNadia

Sunshine and smile follow this family closely so we have no doubt they both will be there on Saturday!
