Friday Friends – Party at the Paint Place

The Paint Place is hosting our first Friday Friends meet-up – a painting party for 15 adults with Down syndrome and their chaperone/best friend/mentors.

The Paint Place is an interactive painting studio. The painting is chosen in advance – and in 2 fun hours their incredible instructor will guide us step-by-step in recreating the painting. At the end of the class you sign your masterpiece and take it home with you!

Friday Friends is social club for adults with Down syndrome: a fun night out to facilitate social interactions between adults with Down syndrome, their peers and the community. All adults welcome from ages 18 and up. The program provides a social outlet for participants to meet new friends, learn new skills and most of all, for this group to adults to have loads of fun. The program has a rotating theme each month, including game night, life skills workshop, community outings and new skills development.

Volunteer Orientation / Playhouse Orientation

September 27, October 25, and November 23, 2:00-3:30pm

These orientations are a great way for anyone – prospective volunteers, family members, or service providers – to get to know the Playhouse. Come learn about us as an organization, our facility and programs, and how you can use your skill and passion to support the Down syndrome community of New York City. Click here to register
